Coming soon: Shane West stars as punk rocker Crash

I have found this article looking new stuff of Shane in Yahoo.
This is what they say:

Dear Alison: The handsome native of Baton Rouge, La., has two features in the can. One is the independent black comedy “The Optimist” with Leelee Sobieski. The other is “What We Do is Secret,” the biopic of punk rocker Darby Crash and Crash’s band, the Germs.

Crash, who reportedly had a five-year plan to become a legend and committed suicide by drug overdose in 1980, is a departure for Shane — “a great character for me,” according to the actor/musician. The film was originally to have been made in 2004, but “four days away from the start, it crashed financially,” West explained.

It ended up being filmed last year, with Bijou Phillips also in the cast. Neither film has a release scheduled as this is being written.
